Drying Before Finishing Wide-Format Graphics
Is there one waiting time for every printed vinyl?
Follow the ink and media suppliers’ drying instructions before finishing. Printing completion and finishing readiness are separate production milestones.
Plan a realistic finishing queue Record the ink, media and print mode used for each job. Confirm handling and drying guidance for the specific system. Avoid treating a surface that feels dry as proof that every downstream operation is appropriate.
Validate the finished construction Trial the intended finishing process on a representative print and inspect appearance, dimensions and handling. Include required waiting and finishing time in the promised delivery schedule. When materials change, revisit the approved process rather than inheriting a generic delay.
