RIP Preset Version Control for Repeatable Printing
Should operators edit the approved preset during every job?

Name and version validated RIP presets, and link them to the intended printer, material and print mode. Avoid silently changing the baseline used by repeat orders.
Use descriptive preset names Include the material family, relevant output mode and revision identifier. Keep a separate trial preset when investigating a change. Archive the original job and record which version produced the approved sample.
Approve changes deliberately Compare a changed preset with the baseline using a relevant test file. Record why the change was accepted and which jobs it affects. Back up the preset library and verify that a replacement workstation can identify the correct configuration.
