Plan before the break

Tell the supplier the expected interval without production and the available operator coverage. Confirm any power, environment or consumable requirements specified by the manual. Keep the procedure with the machine record and assign responsibility.

Document the return to work

Follow the prescribed restart checks before accepting orders. Record any abnormal condition before attempting a remedy. Do not improvise flushing fluids or storage methods; use only the instructions approved for that system.

Production checklist

Use these checkpoints to prepare a trial or discuss the configuration with your supplier. Record the result for each item before approving a production change.

  • Expected idle interval
  • Model-specific procedure
  • Operator coverage
  • Restart inspection record

Can I use another printer’s holiday procedure?

Not without supplier confirmation. Ink systems, maintenance functions and shutdown requirements can differ.
