Export Packing Questions to Ask a Printer Manufacturer
Ask for packing dimensions, handling instructions, protective measures and destination documentation before booking transport. Confirm applicable requirements with your logistics provider.

Plan the shipment interface
Request gross weight, packed dimensions, lifting arrangements and access requirements. Confirm which items travel separately and how accessories are identified. Photograph the packing condition and keep the packing list with the handover record.
Verify destination requirements
Ask the broker or freight provider to confirm applicable documentation and packaging requirements for the route and destination. Wood packaging rules can be relevant where wood is used. Do not treat a generic shipping article as a substitute for current destination-specific advice.
Production checklist
Use these checkpoints to prepare a trial or discuss the configuration with your supplier. Record the result for each item before approving a production change.
- Packed weight and dimensions
- Handling and lifting guidance
- Accessory packing list
- Broker-confirmed requirements
Is a wooden crate alone evidence of compliant export packing?
No. Packing construction, treatment or marking where applicable, and destination requirements need separate confirmation.
